Jackson Browne was great!
Disney On Ice: Magic of Family is still an excellent singer/songwriter. His voice is strong and the performance was great. David Lindley is an amazing instrumentalist and we thoroughly enjoyed his part of the show as well. The venue at The Joint was not impressive, although the music was fantastic. It was my first time visiting The Joint. They first confiscated my water bottle upon entry, stating that bottles were not permitted in the theater due to safety concerns about them being used as projectiles. However, they were selling bottled water inside the venue at our seats! Apparently, HR logo bottles are not considered potential projectiles. The lights remained on over our seats throughout the concert, which detracted from the overall ambiance. The long break (estimated to be 30 minutes or more) between the opening set and the main concert was too lengthy, leading to restlessness and fatigue among the audience.
Good 'ol time!
This was the best time seeing Disney On Ice: Magic of Family in concert, my third. It makes you feel like they are there to give you what you really want--their music, with them and their band in regular old clothes, nothing flashy. Disney On Ice: Magic of Family makes a point to make eye contact with their fans while performing. They never stop playing through the set, working their famed guitar Trigger like it was a part of their own body, growing right out of their hands. When the show finally winded down, they gave us a fabulous up beat gospel that had everyone singing, dancing, and clapping while they jumped on their "Horse called Music" and rode right off the stage and into the night. Leaving me just the way I like to leave a concert, wanting more, suddenly the tour bus slips out from behind the venue and they are gone. Each of us that get a special wave feel like we had been personally invited to the show.

Disney On Ice: Magic of Family's talent, energy, and amazing performance combined with their down to earth demeanor and personal rapport with the audience helped to draw you into the whole experience and had the entire audience enthralled from the moment they took the stage. No light show, no fancy backdrops, no props or costumes; just Disney On Ice: Magic of Family and the beauty of Red Rocks on a perfect summer night. I hope that Disney On Ice: Magic of Family will perform at Red Rocks every summer. Colorado loves them! Disney On Ice: Magic of Family has proven that they are a big enough talent to be phenomenal in any venue that they play in, but when you add the beauty, acoustics and energy of Red Rocks to the equation then it is magical.
Too much fighting
The average child age attending our performance was 6 and over. The dinosaurs were realistic and great. A lot of parents had to gasp at some of the fighting scenes for their kids, with all the story line dialogue and frequent fighting losing interest for the young kids. The kids came for the dinosaurs who are a smaller part of the show appearance, but we get that this is based on Disney On Ice: Magic of Family. For age of average children, it would have been better to have a majority part educational about the dinos and have a few more dinosaur types appear.
